Cookies Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser when you visit a site. They help the site remember your preferences (for example, the language you chose) and work correctly. They do not contain directly identifiable personal information.
2. Cookies we use
We use only strictly necessary cookies for the site to function. We do not use marketing, advertising, or behavioral tracking cookies. Here's the full list:
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
bb-lang | Remembers your language preference (RO / EN) | Persistent (localStorage) | Necessary |
bb-cms-* | Local CMS editor (admin-only at /admin) | Persistent (localStorage) | Necessary |
ⓘ These "cookies" actually use localStorage — a similar mechanism that doesn't send to the server. Data stays on your device.
3. Third-party cookies
Our site loads web fonts from Google Fonts (JetBrains Mono). Per the Google Fonts CSS API v2 policy, no cookies are set through this service for users simply visiting the site.
When you fill out a form, the data is sent through Formspree, which may set cookies on their domain for anti-spam purposes. See their privacy policy for details.
4. Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any other behavioral tracking service. We log only aggregate metrics server-side (number of visits, traffic sources) without cookies or personal identifiers.
5. How to control cookies?
Because we only use strictly necessary technical cookies, GDPR does not require a consent banner for normal browsing. But you can always:
- Clear localStorage from browser settings (Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data)
- Block cookies from browser settings (may affect site functionality)
- Use incognito mode for non-persistent sessions
6. Policy changes
If we add additional cookies in the future (for example, for aggregate analytics), we will update this page and — if the new cookies require consent — display a consent banner before they are set.
